Huntington, IN. – Republican candidate for State Representative, Ron Fusselman, on Thursday called for long-time State Representative Dan Leonard (HD 50) to repay the taxpayers of Indiana for the cost of a franked mail piece paid for by the Indiana House of Representatives and mailed less than 30 days before the primary.
"This just goes to show you how out of touch Representative Leonard is with the voters of House District 50. To spend your hard earned tax dollars on an obvious campaign piece just smells like politics as usual,” commented Fusselman. "People are tired of the status quo and no one epitomizes politics as usual more than my opponent and I would call for Dan to repay the Indiana taxpayers for this campaign mailing. It is a blatant abuse of the franking privilege afforded to elected members of the Indiana General Assembly," Fusselman added.
Out of touch? Funny, I've paged for him more times than I can count and I have seen him in action.... Probably the most "in touch" guy I can think of in office. You'd be surprised how much effort he's willing to put in to make sure that he represents his district.
Stop trashing him and beat him with your own stance. If you can't do that, then you don't deserve the vote. If anything, this article "epitomizes politics as usual."
