1. What place does the recognition of God have in the governance of our Nation?
Response: God is the foundation of our government. God first. People second. Government third.
2. Do you agree the Constitution is a “living document”, that is subject to change with the times, and if not, what does it mean to you as a public servant to defend the Constitution?
Response: No. It is not a “living document.” It was a document that was thoroughly thought out, carefully designed, and meticulously written as the framework to build our Nation. As a public servant, it is my duty to protect these laws and rights for all Americans. It is time to elect people that are not looking for personal gains, but for the well-being of all citizens.
3. There have been frequent attacks on our freedoms and on the Constitution: the Hate Crimes Bill, FCC-Internet control, bank bailouts, government take-overs of private industry and healthcare, Cap and Trade, etc. What is your position on this agenda, and what will you do about it?
Response: This is definitely where government is beginning to interfere in private lives and to truly turn America into a Socialistic country. It is past time for elected officials to have faith in the American people. We need to put more power back into the control of the people. This means, I must fight to stop any more movement in this direction and also, to repeal the actions that have already been taken, but, it will take all of us working together.
4. What do you believe is the best economic policy for achieving the highest level of prosperity in our nation? What role should taxes play in this?
Response: Our nation must return back to capitalism where businesses will be allowed to succeed and fail. Government must not be allowed to pick and choose who they want to succeed. To make all of this possible, we must shrink government putting more responsibility on citizens and business. Government must allow them to keep more of their hard earned money. Lowering taxes will stimulate this economy. Government needs to get out of the way!
5. How will contributions to your campaign influence your legislative decisions?
Response: The people who elect me are the people I serve. There is no money or contribution that will influence me in any way to go against my core principles.
6. What are your views on term limits?
Response: I am for term limits. This is one thing that I will truly fight for at all levels of government.
7. Every year congress passes hundreds of laws, many as riders on other bills. Would you introduce a bill that prohibits more than one law being passed on each bill so that an earmark can not be attached to any bill or law, but must have its own separate bill number and vote?
Response: Yes I would! Also, I will not vote in favor regardless if I agree with the initial part of the bill if there are things in the bill that go against my principles and values or that are wasteful.
8. What do you believe would be the best approach to health care reform, and how can that be achieved?
Response: Number 1 would be competition allowing people to purchase from any company in any state. Number 2 would be to have Tort Reform. When new markets and jobs are created through lower taxes and government stepping out of the way, this will also help to solve the problem. Destruction of the best health care in the world has to be stopped and not allowed to happen.
9. How will you help Indiana restore and protect it’s State Sovereignty?
Response: As a state, we must stand up for our rights under the Constitution. This might mean that there could be times when the Federal Government would withhold money and try to flex their muscles. At this point, we need to stand up and fight for the rights of state and local government in the courts standing firm on the Constitution.
10. How do you define U.S. Sovereignty and what does it mean to you?
Response: Our country is a free nation under the Constitution which guaranties freedom to all its citizens. Other countries envy us, and some want to destroy us. We must not bow down to any other nation, and we must always fight for these freedoms or they will be taken away. If things continue in the direction that they been recently, then we will find ourselves living under one world order and not under God!
11. Trust in our local, state, and federal politicians is at an all time low. Why are you different, and why should we trust you to represent us?
Response: Number 1: I have a strong Christian belief system. Number 2: I am not a politician. I am a citizen of this nation who is ready and willing to begin making those tough decisions by standing firm against those that have been taking our communities in the wrong direction. I will always listen and hear what my constituents have to say. You will know by my actions that I am working for you.
12. What is your position on the Defense of Marriage Act A(DOMA)?
Response: Marriage is defined in the Bible as a bond between a man and a woman. They are bound together under God. This will never change in my eyes.
13. What role should the U.S. play in the United Nations and vice versa?
Should the U.N. determine standards for our domestic policy related to education, environment, economy, parenting, etc. through the adoption of treaties?
Response: At this point, I have no faith in the United Nations. As far as treaties are concerned, the U.S. should stay away. Other countries have shown that they are using the U.N. to manipulate the United States.
14. What does the First Amendment mean when it says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”
Response: Congress has not right to give any control to any one religion. It also can not keep any citizen from worshiping in any religion of any faith. But, our Constitution was written through the incorporation of Christian values. We are a Christian Nation.
15. Do you believe that adding unrelated amendments to a bill is acceptable. Why or why not?
Response: NO! This is an example of exactly why we are where we are today. A bill should be written for what it is, and it should be able to stand on its own. People voting for it should never have to be paid off with unrelated things to get their vote. I will not vote for a bill that has this stuff in it.
The sun shine fiercely.
